Solarventi warm air ventilation systems:
The Solarventi solar panels were developped in the 80’s in Denmark by inventor Hans-Jörgen Christensen. His goal was to improve the indoor climate in holiday homes in Denmark that often had to deal with damp cold air.
The basic principle behind a Solarventi panel is to use outside air, heat it and blow it into a house, by using solar energy only.
These solar panels have found there way into many holiday homes and especially those that stay closed and are not used during the winter months. By now more than 80.000 have been sold all over the world and also on Mallorca.
The Solarventi solar panels use outside air that is heated by the sun and than blown into the house. The air should enter the house on one side and leave the house on the other side. During the day there will be a constant air flow of fresh heated air through the house.
This way a drying effect takes takes place because the warm air from the solar panel can absorb more humidity than the cold air that is present in the house. The now humid air can be removed from the house by an extractor fan or through an opened window.
The Solarventi solar panels make their own electricity and are automaticaly switched on and off by the sun. The electricity in the house may be switched off and the Solarventi will still keep refreshing the house day after day.
The whole idea behind the Solarventi principle ist best compared to opening a window on a sunny day, to get some fresh air flowing through the house.
With the right size of Solarventi, all the air in the house between the air inlet and air outlet will be exchanged 4-5 times per day.
There are 5 models available and also a combination of 2 or more panels is posible.
